Maxxis's expertise and experience in developing high performance rubber compounds provides the necessary edge to best the competition. While some tire manufacturers simply relabel an existing road tire as 'drift spec', Maxxis has worked closely with professional drivers to research, develop and test a drift-specific tire, the Victra VR-1.
One of the most significant hurdles to overcome in a driver's program is securing a tire partnership, so with this relationship in place, Farasati Racing and Bay Area Drifting will be able to focus on what really counts, driving! Farasati Racing has previously benefitted from Maxxis's decades of knowledge, running the famed 'Hookworm' BMX tires in competition prior to beginning a career in drifting.
